Minutes of th'e previous meeting w~re read and approved. , Mr.' lwyn raacis st;: sh hfiS W rden and a group of 'o oma. scallop fishermen were present and discussed with the Board the matter of a change xn the regulations,as regards,the,~ tieing of the scallop bags. After discussion it was on motion duly made and seconded Voted: That the third'sentence of Sec. 5 of the regulations for the taking of scallops for commercial use for the 1962-63 season be amended to read as follows: "All bags used in the taking of scallops'under this permit must be the,new type bag and said bags must be securely tied, at the top in such a manner that the bag is completely closed This ammendment to be effective on Monday Nov. 12, 1962. Mr. Walter Glowacki and Mr. Mafthew Jaeckle were present and discussed with the Board the matter.of-the Ch. 90 contract on Cliff. Rd. Mr. Glowacki stated that h~ wanted to get on this work as soon as possible and that he felt that with a break in'the weather that he could complete same this year. Supt. Jaeckle stated that the area to be worked on could well ,be blocked off, to traffic without discommoding anyone and ti if the,Board approved the work to be started now that it be with the condition that the area be blocked off,to traffic until completed* After discussion it was voted to approve the start of this work at this time with the condition above ' noted and to so advise the state DPt. - ..... ' Mr. ~ ~aiter Miko was present.and complained that Various CD '; meetings that had been called had no one in attendance from'. the local C.D.'and that he felt that this was hurting.the program and that if the director could not be present he should see that a deputy was in attendance.
