The meeting came t0 order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
being present.. ..
Warrant Nol 42, ~otalling-$14,142,61 was presented by Town'Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by.the Board.' "~,::-'
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and appr°ved.
The Town and county Bldg. commkttee repor'ted;(hat they would
have some tenative plans available in Nov. and would meet
with us ,at that time.
The Nant. Gas & Rle'c. Co. reported that the Milestone light and
~lag pole was in progress and awaiting an electrical installa~
to be completed by a private contractor.
Warden Francis ,was 'present .and called attention to the fact that'
any change'in location of an existing shucking permit voids
said permit and a new application must be filed. Voted
advertise this fact and that application may be obtained from
the Warden and should be filed by the 22nd in order to be
effective with the operning of the Comm. Season;
Warden Francis also reported ~hat he had approved the allocation
of 150 bu. of seed Quahogs which we were on the list to
receive to the town of Chilmark inasmuch-as they had received
none and we had already received a good share.
A notice was received from the VFW that the talk on Vet. Benefits
originally set for. the 26th was moved up to'this Friday the,
Voted to approved the application'of John Miller for a St. Light
on Ploe 4 Cambridge St. Madaket, and also that the light on
Vestal St. near the Observatory be reinstalled for the winter
Morin'and Son were granted a permit t0 move a Small bldg. on a
Flat. Bed trialer,from the White ~lephant prop. on Easton St~
to Swain Street, no time on the road envolved other~than
actual transportation from one site to the other.
The Board discussed~the'matter of ~the Bond Issue Money irom the-'
state and voted to advise that we planned to use this money
as our Share of a Ch. 90 project to.complete the unfinished~'
sedtion of Cliff Rd.
Voted to wtii~e the~Airport Comm. the Park and Res. Comm.' the ....
Sewer Comm. and the School Dept. as to any major capital
expenditure articles they were planning for insertion in the ~
next annual warrant so that we might set up a meeting.with
the Finance Comm.' and the respective depts to discuss these
matter in an effort to plan them within the bounds of our
available funds. ~
