,The meeting came 'tO order at 7.$0 PM having been prece'eded by a
County Commissioners Meeting all members of the Board being
· present
Warrant No. 40, totalling $19,754.$7 was presented'by Town.Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. ~'...
Minutes of the previous 'meeting were read ~nd appr0ve~. ..
Mr. Douglas Lawrence,and Mr. Monkmeyer were p~esent and discusse,
.with the Board plans Mr. Monkmeyer had drawn for.
to the exterior, rear of Our Island Home. It was. decided to
have prints made and check with the Fire Chief as.to a pro-
posed visit of a representative of the Dept. of Public Safety
to ch~ck same before we proceded ~urther with this.matter.
Bids were received'from Dguglas Lawrence and Sedd°n Legg Jr.
on interior renovations at Our Island Home. Before same
were opened the matter of an ambugity as regards the
matter of lineoleum was discussed and it was voted to
said bids and advise the'two bidders that the town would
provide the necessary lineoleum, and request that they sub-
mit there bids before 12 noon tomorrow the 4th.
Bids were received the following day as follows: Doublas
B. Lawrence ..... $2425.00 Seddon W. ~egg Jr. $1665.78
After the Board met and discussed these bids it.was voted
that same be awarded to the lowest bidder Mr. Legg with
a time limit of-.9 Nov. 1962 which was agreeable to the
contractor. '":
A letter was received from the Sewer Commission requesting'a-
transfer from the reserve fund but inasmuch as no amount
was stated no action could be taken on this matter. - · '
The Board approved a state ~ecy. form relative to the'members
of The Family,and,Childrens Counselling Serv.' of.Nantucket

was granted a permit to move a,bldg, from the
White Blephant prop..via easton street and Cornish Ct.'
to property on Swain St. with the provision that once the
bldg~ was on the street it would be kePt~in progress daily
until off the street.

Planned playtime was granted a permit to hold a dance at~ Leg.

Voted to Write.the DP~ relative to funds for the Hither Creek
Proposal.
-There being no further business the Board went into executive
session and adj. at 9. 30
