The meeting Came,to order at 7.30 P~ all members~-'of the Board
being present.
Warrant No. 41, totalling $44,482.10 was presented'by Town Acct.
..Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. " ~'
Minutes of the previOus meeting were read and apProved.' ' ,
Secy. Glidden advised that Mr. Arthur Crosby had donated a C.B.
radio and equipment to the Mosquito Control Commission and
it was voted to write Mr. Crosby a letter of thanks.
A letter Was received from the Cmdr. of the Naval Facility r6-
questing that the brush be cut at the intersedtlon of Tom
Nevers Rd. and the State Highway and same was referred to
the Highway Dept. for attention. : ,: :
Pole locations for three poles on sankaty Ave. Siasconset were
voted approved. ,,
Mr. Clinton Andrews Of the Fisherm~ns AsSo.,Was present and dis-
cussed with the Board the need for dredging of Polpis Harbor
entrance channel. It was voted to write the DPW requesting
they have domeone look at this area for us and estimate the
cost.
A letter was received from the' Sewer Dept. requesting a transfer
of $5,237.00 from the Reserve,fund and voted ~eferred to the,
Finance Committee. .,
A letter was received.from Mr. George Toumpouris, Associate Comm.
of Public Works~relative to Hither Creek advising that they~
could make no other decision,on this work than on a'~50-50
basis, -
Voted to request the Highway dept,'to estimate the total C6s{'
envolved in Re: regarding and surfacing Union street complete
with new curb and drainage, so that the Board might make a.
d~cision as.to whether,we desired to reqpest the Bond issue
money be allocated to this-job. "' 'i < - ",,
Voted to inqure Of the ~own and County Bldg. Committee as to,their
progress on this matter.- '.~ '~.
Voted to inqure of the Gas and Elec. Co., as to the ligh~ at the
Ro~ary at the Milestone. ,~, ~
Voted to refer articles 7gv80-8i of. the annual warrant to the"
Town Counsel for':action. "~'
