The Meeting 'came tO' order'at 8P~ all members of the Board, being
present eXcept Mr. Pease. ,'
Warrant No. 36,'t6taliin~~' $12,670.15 was Presented by Town Acct~
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.

Minutes of the.previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Elwyn Francis Sr..Shellfish'Warden was p~es~'ht and reported'
on expermentai opening made at the West Harbor'in Polpis
the work being done by the Mosquito Control ditch digger
stated that he felt the old bulkhead should be removed
and the area at this location and at the entrance into
the ~ast~Harbor should both be dredged out..
Mr. Francis also reported tha~ Mr. Wilbour of the Div. of Marine
Fisheries wascoming to the Island on the llth with members
of the Dept.' of Natural Resources. Secy Glidden also advis
that said DePt. had requested the Board'to set up a meetin
open to'the public for the open discussion of problems' '
relating to shellfish, hunting, parks, state forests and
.recreation, and it was voted to use Legion Hall-for said
meeting, the time set for 8PM Tuesday the llth.
Mr. Allan Holdgate was pres'ented and complained about the Conditi
exi~tfng at Christmans corner so called, stated that the
area was a general nuisance to the whole neighborhood and
that the Board should consider so action for the relief
of the people in that area.
Mr. Holdgate~as:Harb0r Master st[ted that the-Board should con-
sider some regulation covering.the dumping of refuse
and the cleaning of fish etc. at the wharfs and in the
harbori~
Dr. Wylie L. Coliin~ was P~esent and presented a-letter'to the
Board with reference to bicycles stating that he had
been knocked down by a bicycle Outside his home on Broad
St. on the sidewalk and felt that some action should be
taken to qontrol the riding of bikes on [he sidewalkj
This matter was discussed in general and it was felt that
it was as much an educationsl matter.as enforcement and
it was pointed out that the Roatry Club is 'working on
project to provide rental bicycles with some type.of small
placque that could be affixed to each bike advising of
the regulations.
Requests for pole locations'on Delaney Road~and Newtowh Road
were received from the N.~.Tel and Tel and Nanto Gas &
~lec. Co. and date for hearing set for 12 Sept. 62f
A letter'was received from the Siasconset Cicic Association setti
out various matters voted at their meeting and placed on
file for future action.
Dr. Kelley of the Barnstable County Hosp. adVised of a meeting
at the Hosp. on Thurs. the 13th'and the Board felt that
as many members as could make it should attend.
The Board signed the Warrant for the State Pri~kry to be held at Legion Hall on Tuesday the 18th from 7 to SPM.
