The meeting.came to orderl, at,8.20,,pM having'been preceededby
a'county.commissioners.,meeting, all members of the Board
being.present except Mr.'.Meilbye,
Minutes of the previous meeting Were-r'ead and appr0vedi,,~
Warrant No. 32 totalling $29,740.93' was presented by Town'Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by. the Board.

Mrs Gertrude Lamb was Present and requested approval for the. '
operation of.an additional chuck truck to be operated at
Dioness, Madaket, Cisco Hummokk Pond area, and same was~
voted approved for these locations. -, -' ..
Mr. W. Ripl~y2~ NelSon'-and Mr. Teli'Berna of.the~CiviC'LeA~ue were
present to acquaint the Board with'action taken by the Leageu
'at i~s annual meeting in which it was voted to offer to turn
. .the Mill Hill Park awea over to the town and to sponser a
conservation commission, both matters~having to have the"
approval of a town meeting.
Mr. Joe. Cabral was granted a permit for a dance at Legion Hall
from 9 to 1 on Thurs the 9th and a.permit to sell sandwiches ,
and soft drinks, he to provide a Sp. Police agreeable to Chief
Howes.
Mr. John Simpson dba'The' Chicken Nest was'granted'permisSion to '
remain open till 2AM daily. -. ...... ....,:..' . , , :..
A letter was received from'residents ~f.Madaket thanking the BOard
for its action as'regards the,,rubbish barrels and filed;'-: ''
On request of the Tree Commission, Mr.' Walter Bs~rrett was,appointe,
a member of the Nantucket Tree Commission to fill the unexpire,
term of Mr.' Donald Terry who had resigned.
