The meeting came to'order at 7.30 PM all members .of.the Board being present except Mr. Pease.
Warrant No. 17, totalling $35,903.48 was preSented'by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Shellfish Warden Francis was present and requested thai the Boar,
approve~ the posting of the NW corner of West Harbor,
Polpis as,a contanimated area, he advising that he would
next week be receiveing'shipments of con/animated Quahogs
which he would like to plant 'in this area. On mo~ion made_
and seconded it was voted to approve same. ~ "
Mr. Daniel Harrin~t'on,'Clarence Swift 'and James Walsh representi' g
the local' order 'of Red Men were presentmM and requested:"
approval for a parade on May 13th, a bank concert on Main
street from,4 to 5 PM and that lower Main sfkeet be blocke.

Mr. Jaeckle Supt. of Streets was present and presented a ,leiter
from the DPW relative to the Center l'ining which stated
that they would not ,be doing this work for the t~wns this
year. Voted to advertise for this work as per spec., submit' ed
by Mr. Jaeckle.

A letter was received from,the Personnell Board relative to
their approvel of an increas of 100.00 per yearfor two
members of the Highway Dept. and filed.
Voted to have a stop sign erected at Consue and orange streets
to face drivers entering Orange St. from Consue.
Green Coffee Pot Inc. Was granted a p~rmit to close from'April

A legal notice to be adv. in the local~ papers was received from
Rep. Mooney regarding the bill to take the water co. 'and
voted to be adv. as requested.
A letter was received from the Boston Mutual confirming our meet:

A letter Was received from the Town Counsel advising the' Board
that it was proper under the Town Meeting article to
