The meetin~came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
being present.
Warrant No. 15, totalling $47~252.'49 was presented by:Town'Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. '~
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.. .....
Mr. Trippe of.lthe Blue Cross and Shield and Mr.'Devine of'~the
Boston Mutual Ins. Co. were present and~conferred with~the
Board as regards our experience rating and advised that our
.present plan which cover 14o00 per day hospital now cdsts
a single person 5.39 and a family member 15.83 per month
based on the 1962 rate, suggested that:for 5.40 for a single
member and 15.85 for a family member that we could have
a pl'an which would cover 15.00 pei day hospital care.~After
condideration the Board Voted to subscribe for the 15.00
per day plan. Mr. Devine of the Boston Mutal~advised:that
the plan covering life insurance would carry the same rate~
for 62 as in 61..
Mr. Francis Shellfish Warden was present, and reported that work
had been compleed at the 1st bridge in Madaket.
A letter was received from Mr. Colgate authorizing the opening
of Sesachacha Pond and the Shellfish warden was authorized
to proceed with this work.
Mr. Russell Pope of the Tree Commission was present and discussed
with the Board the matter trees overhanging the streets,
and the towns liability for damages caused by same. Stated
that the tree commission was aware of the problem, but that
finances prevented them from doing only a few areas a year.
The Board suggested that N. Water street being a particularl
bad area that they make an effort to correct some~of the
worst conditions' at this area.
Bids were opened on furnishing and installing windows ~"'Our
Island Home as follows: Seddon Legg Jr..1068.57 ~
.Douglas Lawrence $10i8.00. Mr., Lawrence was presen~"~nd
advised that Board that although we had had some complaints
as regards one previous job he had done on this project,
that he had corrected same,' and that he would if awarded
this contract guarantee to be responsible for any damage
caused by any leaks occurring for a reasonable length of
time after the job was completed. On motion made and seconde
it was voted that this job be awarded the lowest.bidder. Mr~

It was voted aft~r"discussion with Mr. Ch$. Annis, Local C. D.
Director and Mr.~Lennox Bodman, Radio Officer to readvertise
for bids for CB radios and'antennas for the C. D..dept. the
specifications to call for.equipment only, and no installati(n
cables etc. the installation to be done on a day work basis
after the equipment was purchased. Bids to be received by
the next meeting.

Planned playtime Was authorized to conduct the Well Child clinic
as in the past.
Voted to authorize the Caretake 'of the Town Clock to '~ing the
bell on 19 April in conjunction with a bells across the
nation programm of he American Legion.
Mr~ and,Mrs Nathan Thurston, Sunnay Acres dairy were granted a
renewal of their soft drin~ license.

The Legion Aux. was granted a permit for a Poppy day. On May '26th.

Howes and approved with the exception of Peter Gomes, who
was formerly Harbor Master.
Mr. Frank Miller was granted a renewal of his *axi permit.,
