~Th~ meeting came.to Order,aS Selectmen having been preceeded by
a County Commissioners Meeting all members of the,Board
except Mr.'Pease being Present.

Warrant No. 10, totalling $12,~9.94 was presented by T~wn Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were 'read and approved.
The Board exceuted the necessary.indemnity agreement for filing
with the DPW with reference to the Hither Creek project.
The Bonds of the Treasurer and Tax Collector in amounts as cert-
ified by the State were approved
A letter was r~eived from the Nant. Gas & Elec' cO. commenting
that the Mercury.Vapor'light at the Jetties Beach had been
'broken five times within the last four years, and asking the
cooperation of the Board and the Police Dept' in this matter
In discussing the matter the Board suggested that some type
of guard be placed around the light if possible.
A'letter-was received from one Halsey Ken~,requesting approval
for hol'ding the Sidewalk art show on Aug.,13-14 and 15th'

The following.aPplications for renewal of seasonal a~l'alcoholic
licenses were received and voted to take the course pres-
cribed by law,; Upper Deck$ Dennis and Manuel Dias; Hatch's
Package Store; Mad Hatter and Murrays Beverage Store.
The Board had a general discussion of the need f6'r additional
shore front protection in the Hulbert Ave. and Easton St.
sections of town, to prevent flooding,
It was voted tO advertise for applicants for Tow~ ahd County
appointive positions to have their applications in the
hands of the Board by 7.30 PM Wed. 14 March 1962,
There being' no, further business the Board wen! into executive
session and adj. at 9.30 PM.
Mxecutive session: ~-
The'matter,of the traffic repOrt 'and parking~on Lyon S~reet
were discussed and it was voted to have Lyon street marked
as no-parking either side at any time, and that two way
traffic be,allowedvover the whole street .....
Also voted to request the traffic study group to complete
their report.
Voted to ask the Ram Pasture Ass°. if they would be willing
to open Hummock Pond again this year.
