The'meeting came,to Order, at 8.i$ PM having been'preceeded,by
a County Commissioners meeting all members of the Board
being present.-

Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.'
Minutes of the previous meeting ~were read and approved. ,.
P01e location~ 'on Vesper Lane' and Squam Rd. were approved' for
the Nant. Gas & Elec. Co. and the N.E. Tel & Tel.
Mr. Patrick Elliot of K~g St. siasconset Mass' ~ :"-'was,grahted a
Lodging House license, -,~
Mr. Elwyn Francis Shellfish Warden reported that Mr, Wilbour~of
the Biv. of Marine Fisheries was coming to the Island on
Friday to conduct an open forum on the new scallop openin
regulations
The matter of the presentation of the Boston Post cane to the
Oldest male resident was discussed and~it was voted to
determine who this cane should be awarded to.
The Legion Post was granted a Sp.'0ne nite wine and malt license
for a member and guest dance, on Sat. the 9th'at Legion
Hall.

Murphy requested renewals of'her~common, vict, ~ilk
Ice cream.and soft'drink licenses at Joes Variety,store,
and same were voted approved .... .~:~
A l~tter was received from,the Supt. of streets advising that,,
there was a slow sign already in place at the intersectiol
of N. Liberty:and Westchest streets.~After discussion it
was voted~to approve the installation of a Stop sigh
at,this'intersection to face Northbound drivers on N. ,,
Liberty St .... :.; ,, ..-...~. ~..
Voted to write'Mr. Joseph'caton'a letter of thanks for the
Christmas display at .Caton circle.
There being no further bus,ness the Board Went into exeCutive
session and adj.' at 10 PM.
Executive Session:
~he Board met with members of the Personnel Board 'and
discussed with them their problems and.voted'to request the
~inance Committee to refer any request for salary increases
to their attention.
