The meeting came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
being present. ..
~Warrant No~ 43 totalling $220,444.83 was presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and,apProved.
Shellfish Warden Francis Mr. J. Clinton Andrews Bres 6f the
Fishermens'Asso were present and discussed with the Board
the advisability of installing some type of warning buoys
in the Broad Creek break through area to warn scallp fish-
ermen using the area of.danger during fog etc. After dis-
cussion it was.voted that Messers Francis, Andrews and
Harbor Master Gomes be appointed a committee to investigate
this matter and report to the Board.'
A letter was received from residents of Sconset relative to the
posted pseeds on the State Highway entering Sconset and
calling attention to the Many children using the area near
Morey lane. Matter referred to the Supt. of streets for
his recommendations.
A letter was ~e~eived from Mrs Taylor of Tuckernusk asking that
the permieter spraying for mosiquotes, ticks etc be con-
tinued.
A letter from Mr. Kiley and Mr. Conway relative to North Street
was voted fefferred to the County Clerk for attention at our
next county meeting.'
A letter was received from a Wm. st'rain relative to controled
bur~ing and'filed.
Mr. Cbs Stackpole was granted a permit t0-h01d dances from Nov.
to April on Sat. evenings in behalf of the Chamber of
Commerce and for appointment as Sp. Police to serve at same.
Application for.joint pole locations on Tennessee Ave. 'in Madaket
were received from the N.E. Tel & Tel-and Gas and Elec. Co."
and date for hearing set for 8 Nov. 61.
A letter from Natalie Gates relative to an open drain near her
residence was voted referred to the Sewer Commission.
The Navy Wives club was granted a permit for a dance on 28 Oct.
The Board approved the transfer of the Ocean House seasonal all
alcoholic license from Margaret W. Manchester to the Nant..
Hist. trust.
A letter and ~ig~ures relative to Braod creek were received from
Mr. McKinnon the The DPW and after discussion it was voted
to,write Mr..:McKinnon calling his attention to the fact
changeing conditions at this area even since the pictures
and suggest that they have additional pictures taken at

There being no further business the Board went into executive
session to discuss welfare matters and adj. at 9.45 PM.
