An application £r0m' the Nant. Historical Trust for approval of, the transfer of .the Seasonal All, alcoholiC beverage license formerly held by, Margaret W. Manchester dba Nantuckets New Ocean House was received and voted to take the course pres- ,cribed by law. ,, , ~ , A letter'~as rrceived from the U.S.C.Go in reply to-a letter'sent · by-Rep. Mooney relative to buoys in Smiths Pt. opening,~ adv- ising.that they would not be able to assuem responsability for this 'area. :" A letter was 'received from 'RObt. McKinnon of the'DPW waterways division 'advising that aerial pictures were being taken of the Broad creek break through'and that he would be in touch with' us on this matter. , , Bids on' wireing at the CD headquarters wer,e received as, follows Wm. Waine and Sons 443.30; Leonard Godfrey 389.92 tiis mattes ,was tabled at this time to confur with the Finance Committee as to funds. A letter,was received from Mrs Christine Reed Cameron relative , to the crowds on lower Main st. and filed. Charles F., Sayle was granted permission to place some fill on the Town layout ,Washington St."' extension to enable him to reach his property this area now being beach sand. Sayle'was present'and Presented,,a letter proteSting th Water rates and this matter was discussed at some length, Mr. Desrocher presenting a,summary of a~sampling he had made of recent bills.'It was~voted to write Mr.~William Leffler our, Eng. and ask his advise if we had enough information at this time to open this matter.up again,~and also to write a formal protest to the' DPU and the Gov. ~. An applicatioh,-qf;William Burke et ux for~aPproval of the transfer of the seasonal Comm. Vict.~license held,by Parker. W. Gray. dba'Knotty.
