The meeting came to order at 8PM all members of the Board being

Barrett'and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of/the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. W. Ripley Nelson and Mr. Chs. Swain of the Park and Rec. Comm.
~were present and requested that the Board as the rep. of
the town owning-controlling axmx~mzii~ interest in the
common and undivided lands in proprietorship call a meet
of the proprietors for the purpose of appointing three
trustees to the Coffin trust as respects Codfish Pamk,
~the purpose being to obtain for the town control of the'~
area at Codfish Park not 'presently occuppied for use of
the town as a public beach. On motion made and seconded
it was voted that said meeting be called on 27 June 1961
at 9.30 AM at the office of the Reg. of Deeds, that same
he.advertised in the local papers and that the Ch. and
or Secy. be authorized to vote~ the towns shares at this
meeting. ..
The Board discussed the proposed Capehart housing development on
Vesper Lane and it was the sense of the meeting that we
,try and determine whom we should contact as regards some
suggested changes in the exterior 8m$§~m~m~xz~mm§ms of
said bldgs.
Mr. Thomas,Igoe was granted a ren~val of his taxi permit.
Chief Bartlett':,Was authorized to attend the Fire Chief convention
June¢lth thru 22nd
Miss Cravott the Town Nurse wrote advising of her vacation, and her replacement for this period.
Voted to request the Supt.'of streets to see if he could have one
of the state road eng. examine the various fire cisterns
to determine whether they are safe.
Mr. Stephen He~litz Wrote requesting that t~e dune area at Mad:
be posted as regards driving etc. again and this matter
was referred to the highway dept.
Mr. Clem Reynolds wrote advising of steps at'Siasconset which were
in poor coddition and suggesting that same should be re-
moved or repaired. Same was referred to the highway dept.
The following applicttions were received and approved:
Harbor House, Piano and guitar entertainment; Jos. D~iscol
Common vict. ice cream and soft drink; Siasconset Caslon
Sound motion pictures; Parker Gray, paino and recorded mus c;
Mrs Herbert Cole, ice cream and soft drink; Skipper, Commo
- Vict.; ~Chanticleer, Innholders; Youngs cycle.shop, soft
drink; Beulah Scully, Common Vict; The Jetties, Common Vic .
Soft drink and ice cream.
Mr. Harry Howard wrote requesting a permit to sell candy etc. on
Sundays and same was voted referred to the Town Counsel
for his opinion as to whether the appropriate statute had
ever been accepted by the Town. Mr. Killen also stated
that he was applying for the same type of permit.
Mr. Stanley Slosek applied for a renewal of his milk past. permit
and same was approved subject to inspection by the Sanitat on
Insp.

on recommendation of Chi~f,Howes the' following were.appointed .
as Sp.~Police, ~John Santos, Sconset,Pire Dept
Driscoll,'~St. ~harf; and Lennox Bodman Dreamland Theatre.
The Knights of Columbus applied, for a permit for a carniVal on
Cherry St. and same was tabled for.one week.
It was reported that information'was still nOt. available at the
.South Station info. bureau as regards boat schedules~
and it was voted to note this to ~r. Tel Berna, of the
