Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. MinUtes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Letterswere received from Mr. Alfred Bornema~n and Donald R. Williams protesting the bowling alley location at Beach St. and placed on file. 'The following taxi license applications were received and voted approved: John Salvas; Caroline and Gilbert Nickerson; Chester Barrett; J. H.,Wood~and Son~ and Island Tours Inc. Miss Mattie Empson was granted a renewal Of her' Innholders license at 1 Pleasant St.' A letter was received from the Ch.' 'of Commerce suggesting that the town should provide a comfort station in the vicinity of lower main street, discussed and filed. The Red Cross requested that they be allowed to move into the Hoosier House as soon as possible and it ~was voted to weite Planned Playtime and request that they move any equipment~ they have. Dreamland Theatere' Inc.was.fr%mgranted a permit"for sound motion pictures .on Sundays~ 18 June thru 10 Sept. 61. Voted to adv. for bids on constructing a boat' ramp at the Town Pier at Madaket'and for a pick up truck for the high- way dept. same to be in by next week., ,' The matter of items of town equipment oWned bi various depts was discussed and it was suggested that we have the various depts bring in an inventory when they present their budgets, Voted to write N.E. Airlines relative to their poor reservation handling, and to send a copy to the Airport Commission. There being no further business 'the Boa~d w~t into executive session and adj, at 9.30 PM. Executive Session: The Board approved Chief Bartlett attending fire fighting school with one man, and also authroized the chief to adv. for bids for a rebuilt mtr ' for the Jeep inherited from th.e Police 'Dept. /.~~
