Cahoon'dba Joes variety store applied fo'r approval of the transfer of his wine and malt package store license to one Jessie Murphy, and same was voted to take the course [ by law. The Board was in r~ceipt of the Lease of Legion Hall W~ich' was signed and voted sent to the Legion for their signature. Voted to write the Sewer oommission a letter advising that a majority must sign the bills or they would not be approved. Selectmens Meeting 19 April 1961 The meeting came to'order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board being present, except. Ch. Killen, Mr. Pease served as Ch.Pro Warrant No. 16, totalling,S8,231.81 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mr. Seddon Legg Sr. was present and advised the Board that it would cost aprox. 118.00 to repair the fence and repaint same at the Monument memorial. It was voted to authorize this work be done from the Vet. Gr~ves account. Bids were received 0n various items as advertised for Our Island Home, as follow~,: ~ Electrical Service and wire~ng: Wm. Waine and Sdns~1075.00 plus $75.00 for refilling trench total 2050.00 (no bid submitted on nurses call system) em. ,'; transite te 'at Robert Blair, Blair, Electric, submitted a bid'of.,$2700100 dollars for the installation of both the electrical service and wireing and the nurses call system, provided we would allow two changes in the specifications, one that we allow the installation of an inside meter on the electrical system and two that in place of one 32 drop main a~nunciater'unif~on the nurses call system, we allow the substitution of two 16 drop units one being designated for each floor.'Inasmuch as the Board had in its specifications stated that we reserved th right to consider the matter of the Elec. service bid and the Nurses call system bid as one,bid, and that Blair.Elec. was:~. the only one bidding on both systems it was voted to confur with the Wire Insp. as to whether the'changes as requested bY Mr. Blair would adverselly effect-the system as proposed and that if he found nothing wrong with'the changes.suggested that .the Board be advised and this matter and same ben,warded Mrl Blair. ' ...... (Note) Subsequent to the meeting the Wire Insp. Mr. Gaspie " was contacted went over the specifications and the bid of Mr, Blair,and advised that he could see nothing that would ,adversly,effect the system. The other members of the Board except. Mr. Killen who was off Island~were contacted and this matter was awarded to Blair electric, for the total bid of 2700.00 with the, two changes as noted.
