The meeting came fo~.order at ?.50 PM having been prece~ded by a
County Commissioners meeting, all members of the Board being
present. ' ·
Warrant No. 14, totalling $8,864.75 was presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the' previous ~ee~ing were read a~d approvedi":'.~
Mr. ~ohn Hamblin and Mr. George Hamblin were presen~ and dis-
cussed wi~h the Board the ma~er of ~heir being le~ go as
nigh~ men at the Fire s~a~ion, s~a~ed they fel~.~hey had
been unfairly dei~ wi~h.' Thi~ mat~er was discussed and ~he
Board s~ated rearrangement of the jobs was done by ~he Cheil
~o obtain the mos~ efficien~ opera~ion
Mr.J~es Kllle~, Mr. Richard Kalman and Mr. Vic Ferran~e'l~a of
~he Amer. Legion Pos~ were presen~ and requested ~ha~ ~he
permf~ previously granted for carnival ~o be held fn Aug.

~r. CranSton was presen~ and suggested ~ha~ wh~le c~f.road is

~fch is~now on ~he N. side of Cliff Rd. across ~o ~he S.
side so as ~o provide future service do~ Delaney~Rd. wi~h-
ou* dis~urbimg ~he surfmce. I~ was vo~ed ~o write ~he wa~er
Co. on.th~s matter. '
A letter was received from the fire chief relative to various
ar~fcles ~o be put ou~ to bids and voted ~o request the
Chief to.submit the spediffcations to the Board.
Bids were received on a new truck for the highway dept. as floows
Albert L..Silva Inc. $~,678.27 as this w~s the .only bid and
as same was within the appropriation it was voted to accept
same.
~r. Dennis Dias db~ Log Cabin Dine and Dance was grmn~ed .m re-
newml of his Sof~ drink license
A lis~ of Sp. Police officers~was Su~i~ed by Chief Ho~es and
vo~ed mpproved by ~he Bomrd.
~r. ~lwyn Mrancfs Sr. Shellfish warden was appoin~ed~Shellfish
Constable.
Application was receix/ed from Paul and Grace
Whi~e ~lephan~ for ~ renewal of ~heir alcoholic beverage
l~cense and vo~ed ~o ~ake ~he co~rse prescribed by law.
~rs John W. ~fs was granted a lodging House license.
