The meeting Came'~t01orde~ at 7.30 PM all'members 'of
the Board
except Ch. Pease." Mr. Meilbye served as Ch.~Prto Tem.
Minutes of the Previous meeting were read and app~ov'ed.
Warrant No. 52 ~ totalling $23~142.85 was presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved bY the Board.
Mr. William~Waine was present, and thanked the Board in behalf of
himself and his son Robert for their appoi~tments to the ,ToWn
and County Bldg. Comm. and the Salary Committee resPectivelly
Mr. Waine als° sommented on the new Steamship Auth.~schedule
that goes ~into effect on 1 Jan. stating that he speaking for
himself~ and Mr. Snow of the Gas and Blec. Co. whished to go
on record as protesting same, stated that he felt it provided
no certain connection at Woods Hole, that ,it entailed double
crews when we were trying to cut down expenses.
It was Voted to inquire Of, Mr. Tell Berna our Aulh. member~ ,
as to his comments on these matters.
Shellfish'Warden Prancis was~prese'n~ :and~disc'ussed with' the Board
the matter of increasing the Commercial Scallop limit. Stated
he felt same could be increased to a 5 and 10 ~ag limit but
that he'would suggest not before 16 Jan. No action was taken
on this matter at this time
Bids were received 'on Collecting .'rubbish at various town 'and count
bldgs as follows: 4 .,- .... ~ '
Nathan Thurston 267.00; Albert Johnsen 195.00; Myle's Reis
234.50. Inasmuch as none of the bidders had picked up the,
new specifications which called for an addition~ pick up over
previous years 'to wit, the Jetties Comfort Sra. it was voted
to award same to Mr. Johnsen the lowest bidder if he would
agree to also include the said coafort Sra.
Mr. Joseph A. Cahoon ~as~granted a renewaI of his common Vici.
Milk and Ice cream licenses at Joe's Variety Store.
It was voted to open the Warrant for, the annual Town Meeting this
date with the information that same may be closed on 18 Jan.
1961.
There 'being no,further business the Board went into executive
session and adj.- at ,9.45 PM. ~, 4,

Voted relative ,to Macy' Ct. off Howard St. to~have all,of the'
present signs removed and one sign painted both sides stating
no parking either side erected. -- ,
Voted to write Mr. James Allen 'to remove a derelict boat in
Hither Creek, Madaket.
Voted"~0 Write Mr.'john Putterick; ~relative to 'work at our
Island Home that we would only authorize the employment of
one helper besides himself after this week.
