The meeting came to order at 8.15 PM having been preceeded by
County Commissioners meeting,~All members of the Board,bein
present.
warrant No. 49. totalling $21,369.40 was Presented:by To~n ~CCt.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the'previous'~meeting were read and approved.
Mr. MacKinnon of the DPW waterways .division and Mr..F0garty of
the U.S. Army ~ng. were present and discussed with the
the matter of the Board Creek Smiths Point~areai~.Mr. ~n
stated that in his opinion this~shore line showed a con-
stand erosion over the past fifty or sixty.years and that.
their was no practical way at'this time to prevent the con-'
tinuation of same, he felt that in'time Smiths point would
join Tuckernuck Isl.' and that'a permanent breakthrough
would occur at the Broad'Creek area~ Stated that. he would
file a written report of his findings with !he Board and
that his department would examine the area each year to
keep 'track of developments. ·

petition of the N.B. Tel and Tel'and Nant. pas &Elec. Co.

Mr. Paul C. Morris'wrote.requesting considerati0~ of a sidewalk
and curb at his property.on Prospect St. and same~.was voted
filed'for examination by the Board after town meeting when
new funds are av'ailable. ,.,
A letter was.received from the public r-elations' ¢0mmiitee request ng
that a bill be filed authorizing, the town to :appropriate
up to 30,000 dollars, and Secy. Glidden.advised .thai
as the last dare-for filing bills ~as on this date that he
had contacted aep.' Mooney by telephone a~d requeste~ thai
he file such permisi~e legislation for the Board,
Voted to remove the Taxi' parking signs :on Federal St. fo~ the
winter'months.
