The~meeting came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
being present.
warrant No. a6, totalling $51,958.85 was presented by. Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.'
M~nutes of the previous'meeting Were read and approved.
A letter was received from the Town Counsel' relative to hedges
and trees advising that if same were growing out over the
'sidewalk or street the Board could have them cut back
but ~that there was no regulation pertaining to the hr. of
hedges or trees or fences at corners.
It was Vote'd to send notices to those persons listed in
the list furnished us by the Supt. of streets advising the:
to have their hedges cut back or the Board would have to
have same done and bill them.
Mr. Charles G. Snow and Mr ' William Waine were present and discus:
the matter of the appointment of our member of the new
steamship authority with the Board.-
The following applications for renewal of alcoholic beverage
license were received by the Board and voted to.take,the
course prescribed by law: Murrays Beverage Store Inc.
Harold and Pelemena Ryder; Joseph A. Cahoon, ~reen Coffee
Pot, Inc. ~:
A letter was received from Mr. Kelliher Dist. Highway Eng. ad-
vising thai the annual hearing in Boston was on the 17th
inasmuch as we had already advised that the Board would
not be present same was~placed on file. ,.
A letter ~as received from Rep. Mooney relative to the deadline
for filing bills and it was voted to request that he file
a bill in our behalf:requesting the state to take over
the Polpis Rd. as a state highwayf~
Pole lo'cation applicat~.ons were received from the Nant. Gas & Ele,
Co. and N.B. Tel & Tel as follows:
Wauwinet Rd. 1 pole'; PolPis Rd. 4'poles; Polpis Rd. 2 Pole.
as none o~ these pet. required a notice to the abutters
same were approved and signed by the Board.
Locations On Macy Lane, Milest6ne Rdi and Wash. St.~.Madake
were approved by the Board' notices having been sent the
abutters and no complaints having been received.
Locations on Polpis rd and Milestone rd. were assigned for
hearing on the 30th notice to be sent the abutters.
Voted to advise the Harbor Master to 'contact james. Ai~le~ about
the removal of an old hulk at Madaket'and another owner
unknown at S. Beach.
There being no further business the Board went into executive
session adn adj. at 9.45 PM.
