Pro~,tem. ~. ., Minutes of the previous meeting were read and appr'oved. ,,, Warrant No..34 totalling $33,406.93 was, presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approyed by the Board. Aletter was received from the U.S.CG. advising that they were in the process of replacing buoys with radar refIector types and that relative to our request they would try to ex- pedite the program for Nantucket. One bid was received from Mr. Russell Pope for the spraying of the-edges of the bicycle path for rag ,,weed as adv. , the bid price being $60.00 and same was voted approved. Mr. Irving F. Holdgate and Norris Stuart were gr~nted a common' .Vict,'Ice cream and'soft drink licenses at Half Way house at the-fourth milestone and a permit for dancing till midnite, closing hour to be 2AM. A request for a light on Morey Lane Sconset made by Mrs Esther Kern was voted approved and forwarded to the Gas & Elec CO. for action' : A'letter was received from a Mr~ H. P. Ranney relative to an unsightly condition caused by dumping and refuse near, Tom Nevers and referred to the Highway Dept. for attentio The Board noted the complaints received from various summer reside: of the ~ulbert Ave.,area relative to the locat~on'of the Legion Carnival but no action was taken the carnival bein only for four nights. There being no further business the Board went into executive session to discuss welfare matters and adj, at 9 PM. Welfare: The applicaiion of. Mrs Warlace for admission to OUr' ~, Island Home asa boarding patient was again discussed, and'as the Board now had a room available same was voted approved, the per diem rate being,S7.42 and the patient ~ to be responsible for her'own Dr's.,drugs and hospital ~,, costs. : The matter-of the application of Janice Blount Calvert~for aid her husband having abondeded her was voted referred to Mr. Scully Vet.
