Warrant No. $0 t0taiiing $19,$51~37 Was presented by Town Acct. ,. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.--. A Mr. Anthony Senna was present and~inquired about'a permit for doing portraits for hire on,the streets'of the town and was advised that he would have to obtain some private property in which to do this work. The Board received and signed Ch. 90 contracts for the next six months. Mr. Henry Coffin Was granted a renewal of his soft drink lic' at the Siasconset Golf. Murrays Bev. S'tore was granted a milk license. It was voted to install stop signs on Hussey St. at Liberty and Westminster St. at Gay. Voted' to ask the Gas &' elec. co. to pai~the ba~k of the light at the Jetties Beach. Mss Rose stanshigh,'Matron at the Jetties Beach Comfort Sta'. was appointed a Sp. Police officer in connection with her duties ,as matron.' ¥oted to inquire of the:.gas and elec. Co..why the light on Vestal street was not located on Pole No. 3 as voted by the Board Voted to write all the life guards calling~attention to their hours,of duty. Voted to write James T.-Worth, Inc. relative to the~condition the sidewalk on Old N. Wharf area caused by some type of candy they were selling add requesting their cooperation in this matter. '' The American Legion post requested a permit,for~"a Carnival at N, Beach st. the latter part of Aug. an~ same was voted approved but with no games of chance.~ '" . :: There being no further'business the Board went into executive session and adj. at 9 PM. Bxecutive Session: Voted to write Mrs Ch. Bell advising that Mr. Bell should be removed from the Island Home within two weeks. Voted to write the Sewer dept.' ~elative to'a loose manhold'cover .- on Center st. Near. Methodist church. Voted to have s'pt. of Streets get'plan of lower 61easant st. and sparks ave, relative toa ch. 90 project. Voted to have a Set of keys made for the police dept. for the Sconset comfort stations.
