'~: , Warrant No. 25, totalling'S9,769.88 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. '~ Minutes'of ~he previous meeting were read and approved.~. Mr. Kent K. King was present and reported to the Board an inciden~ of overcharging by an independent cab driver inasmuch as the name of the operator was not given no.action was taken .by the Board. - - Mr.' Vincent Arno'requested a Common Vict license at a new shop he is opening on Main street, also requested that he be allowed to stay open to 2.30 AM. and'a permit for. recorded music. The common vict and ent. licenses were approved sub- ject to inspection by Mr.-Lamb, no decision was made on the 2.30 AM closing hour. Mr. Dick Williams of the Cooperage'Was present requesting info- rmation on a sign and was referred to one'of the adjacent property owners. A Mrs Michael Choukas of Surfside was present and protested.the fact that she was unable to get her car over from the main- land, same was placed on file. A letter was received from Senator Stone urging'letters to Senator supporting passage of the Mooney Sylvia Boatline re-organixa- tion bill. . ........ ~ The Board voted to send a'letter to Mr. Bessette of the Dept, of Public Works Div. of Waterways requesting a wood sheath bulkhead as recommended by Mr. Hannon in the Broad Creek area. .:: The following licenses and Permits were apProved: Allens Lobster Grill, recorded'music ent. Boat House Rest. recorded music ent. Gordon Folger,.Innholders Wauwinet House, recorded music ent. The Breakers, Innholders Parker W.'Gray, recorded music ent. Opera House, Piano entertainment Capn Tobeys Chowder bar, Recorded'music 'en~ Henry B. Coleman, Auctioneers license. ,' Mr. Nelson K. Eldridge was on recommendation of Chief Howes app- ointed a Sp. police officer for duty at Siasconset. It was Voted to insert an adv. in the local-'paPers calling attenti of the'public to the fact that Fireworks would be displayed on 4 July. '~ ,,: A letter was received from Irving Stanley relative to transportati,n difficulties and referred to tthe public relations committee. A letter'and plan were received from Ernest Whelden relative to a road near his residence and tabled until the next county. commissioners meeting. Mr. Clyde Blackwood requested a Children, traffic sign on [air street between Lyon and Bagle and same was voted referred to the Supt. of Streets for attention. A leiter from Dr. Mary Brown relative to' the strike and C~vil ~ Defense was referred to the C. D. Dir.
