Th~meeting came to Order at 8PM all members'of the 'Board being .. present. / ~'
wa~rrant No. 20, totalling $29~622.53 was presented by Town Acct.'
Barrett and'checked and approved by the Board. ~.
Minutes of the previous.meeting were read and approved;~
Pole 16cations on Center street and on Broad street near the
Whaling Museum were approved the Co's having cleared the
matters with the abutters who had formerlly aobjected.
Pole locations were approved on Dave street and lower Pleasant~
street, notices having been sent the abutters and no objecti ns
having been received. '.'~:?~: ,
Mr. Walter C.~lta~ch was gra~ted a permit't~ erect an awning over
the door ofhis place of business, on Lower Oraange St. same
to be 7it 6inches from the sidewalk.
~,lr. Dennis Dias and Manuel Dias were granted an entertainment
permit at the Log Cabin Dine and Dance, Sur,~side Rd. weekday~
only.
MissE'sther*Gibbs was granted a fenwal of her Innholders license
at N. Shore Restauratn.
Gertrude F. Lamb was granted a renewal, of her hawkers and peddler.
license. ~'
A letter was received from the DPW advising receipt,,Of our letter
of request for centerlining and advsing that same had been
forwarded to the Boston office for approval. , .-
The leg{on Aux. was granted a permit for a Poppy day on 28 May.
Harry A.~ Howard was granted a permit for a s~gn over his place
of business lower Main st. same have.ina been approved~as

The Siasconset Book Store Inc. was gra~ted a renewal of i~s~
common vict. license.
Mr. Roger' Young dba Youngs~Bicycle shop was granted a renewal of
his soft drink license. >
Mr.~Rog~r Young invited the board to, attend the Rotary,luncheon~
on Wed. next at which Cmdr. Stephenson would be honored.:,'
The Ch. of Commerce Was granted,permisSion 'to paint'its quarters
in the town bldg. S. Water St., ~
