"Barret~ and checked-and approved by the Board. Mlnutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Town Cle'rk ~oFfin was presen~ w~th a note for the~Boards~ signatures to borrow in antlc~Pation of revenue and same was approved'and:signed in the amount of 100,000.00 dolla: -~It was Vo'ted~to meet for the purpose of drawing Jurors'at the office of the town clerk on Friday at'3PM.- Mr. Joseph Caion was present and requested permission.to operate the' fireworks display as voted by the .Town at the Jetties .Beach, HarBor side area on the evening of 3 July and same was voted approved~ , -. M~. John lit~ila Sr. was present and reported that Mr. Anderson .of the.Ram Pasture Asso. had offered their services-in" the opening of Hummock Pond, and same was voted'approved a letter of thanks to go ~o Mr.' Anderson,.Mr. rittila was also authorized to open the Mill Pond at thistime A letter was received from Rep. Mooney ~r~lative the the bill as rega.rds netting and filed at this time. A letter was received from the.N.I.S, offering the name of Mr. : _Harry Gordon:to serve on the Transportation Committee. A letter was~also.r~ceived from the .Pac. Na~. Bank advising that none'of their Directors desired to serve on this. . committee. ~ . -::: An application.for, underground cable from Main street to,a loc- ' -, ation on Washington St. was received~from the Tel Co. . and date 'for hearing set for March 30th.. ., .. A letter was received from Chief Bartlett relative to Article 107 and filed atthis time, it.being the feeling that the chief should meet with us to discuss this matter.. On re.queSt of'Chief Howes,'blr. Donald F 'Nelson was appointed a Sp. Pl.-officer." ...' > . : : -The Girl scout Mariners .were granted'~a pc?mit to'hold a dance at the grange hall on Fri from 7 to 11 PM. A letter was received from Mr 'David Murray requesting a'license for a bowling alley but as-he gave' no indication of the, location he ,proposed it was voted to write' and ask for : -this 'information ....... The, following applications for renewal of alcoholi6 beverage~ . licenses were received and voted to take the course 'pre-~- scribed by,Law: Barbara V.
