Mr. Barrett served as Ch. Pro Tem., ,- '~ '. ,.Minate's of the' pre'vi0us meeting were read and approved. Warran't No. 13, totalling $8,g83.97,was presented by To~~n Ac~'t. Barrett and 'checked and approved by the Board .... : A letter was'received f~om M~. F. Wilb~ur of the Dept.'of cons. on netting regulations and after discussion of this matter it was felt that we should investigate the possability,of amending,ou~ p~esent bill so as'~to have the a~ea around the ' island designated as a spawning or conservation area. Shellfish Warden Francis was pr'ese~l and Suggested that area known as the Ho~seshed should~be closed~ due,to the large percentage of seed in the area.. Ii was'voted to table this matter for one week ~o allow the warden to make a survey of the a~ea and to allow time fo~ any comment from the fisherman A'lelte~ Was received from the Harry 'Frost Agency relative our getting togelher lo plan ou~ summer and fall adv. it 2was voted to advise ~hat we could not do so until after town meeting. Allens lobster grill was granted a renewal of,its Common Vic~. license. .,' -- PTA was granled a-~permil for a dance at the highs School aud. on Sat Peb.' 20th from 9 to. 11.30 . ~ ~..~ , The Board discUssed the~maite~r of the' proposed Forum on~Sunday with Mr' Stackpole of the Inquirer and Mirror but took , formal vote on this-maC,er. ,~ The'Board had before it the"mal~er of the seasonal esii~kted population figure for the purpose of granting seasonal alcoholic beverage licenses and after consideration voied .~o se~ lhe figure~at 16,100, and signed the necessary forms for forwarding to ~he ~CC.
