To e~tker of the Constables o/ tke Town o/ Nantucket m our saul Counter
WE COMMANI) you that without delay you make known unto the Selectmen and
Town Clerk of said Nantucket and them warn to assemble at the Town Clerk s office
or at some other pubhc place in smd town there by you made known and be present
at the draft and selection of fourteen persons quahfled to serve as Jurors of good
moral character of sound judgment and free from all legal excephons and ~nhabltants
of said town to serve as Traverse Jurors at our Superior Court to be holden at Nan
tucket w~th~n and for our county of Nantucket on the first Tuesday of October next
And you wall take care that the Meehng for the draft of such Jurors be held not less
than seven days and not more than twenty one days before the day when they are
reqmred to attend
WE ALSO COMMAND yOU that four days at least before the day when they are re
qmred to attend you summon the persons so drawn and selected to attend at our said
Court on Tuesday the day of October at rune of the clock in
the forenoon
Hereof fail not and make due return of thru writ w~th your dmngs here~n

I NOTIFIED the Selectmen and Town Clerk of said Town of Nantucket as within
directed to assemble for the purposes above stated and at a meehng held accordin~l¥

I summoned them to appear and attend said Court at the time w~th]n specified as re-
quired by law

1 This venire should ~e served w~thout delay on the Selectmen and Town Clerk
2 This writ shall be returned to the Clerk s of~ce at Nantucket, w~th the names of the Jurors
thereon immediately after the draft of Jurors has been made
3 Notify the Juror to attend on Tuesday a~ required in the ~emre
4 Notice to a Juror should be ~ven by reading to him the venire w~th an indorsement thereon
of h~s having been so drawn or by leaving at his place of abode a wrttten notification of his having
been so drawn and also of the time and place of his appearance Give his name in full in the return
5 F~ES For service 30 cents for each person on whom the venire and notice is served and
for travel § cents a mile from the place of service to the place of return by the usual
