HomeMy WebLinkAbout1930-07-09 Cornrnot wealth of Massachuselts NANTUCKET SS To Arthur R Callwltz Constable of the Town of Nantucket ~xT the tame of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby reqmred to proceed forthwnth to kill or cause to be killed all dogs wnthm the sand town not duly incensed and collared according to the provnmons of Chapter ~[~of theG~l~~~ and you are further required to make and enter complmnt against the owner or keeper of any such dog Hereof fail not and make due return of th~s warrant wnth your doings thereto statnng the number of dogs killed and the names of the owners or keepers thereof and whether all unhcensed dogs nn said town have been killed and the names of persons against whom eomplannts have been made under the provnslons of sald Chapter and whether complmnts have been made and entered against all the persons who have failed to comply wnth the provnmons of sand act on or before the first day of October next Given under my hand and seal at Nantucket aforesaid the tenth day of ;[~,Y in the year rune een hundred and th:trty. ~ Cl~atrman of thc c tucker ] THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS To the Selectmen of the To~n of Nantucket GREETINGS WHEREAS, in General Laws chapter fifty-four, section one hundred and forty-two, it is provided that upon a vacancy by removal or otherwise in the office of CLERK OF COURTS in any county, the GOVERNOR shall cause precepts to be issued for an election to fill such vacancy, and WHEREAS, by the reason of the death of John C Jones, duly chosen to said trust, a vacancy exists in the ~~~ office of Clerk of Courts for the County of Nantucket NOW, THEREFORE, We, by our GOVERNOR, do hereby direct and require you, in the manner and forms prescribed by our CONSTITUTION and LAWS, to notify and summon the inhabitants of the Town of Nantucket, qualified to vote for State Officers, to give in their votes on Tuesday, the Fourth day of November next, for a CLERK OF COURTS, to fill said vacancy, and for the remainder of the term of Six years, from the first ~ednesday of January in the year one thousand nine hundred and twenty-mine, and in all matters pertaining to said election and the returns thereof, similar proceedings are to be had as in an original election WITNESS, the Great Seal of the Commonwealth hereunt~ affixed, at Boston, this seventh day of July, in the year one thousand nine hnndred and thirty, and of the Independence of the United States of America the one hundred and fifty-fifth By His Excellency The Governor ~--~ ~-~ Secretary of the Commonwealth
