In n~y remarks I calle~ to the CammAssxone~'s
attentxon tha fact that our fishxng xndust~]r would suffe~ a serious
handicap if ~eprxve~ of the close connections now existxng between
our own $teamshxp lxne an~ the New Beafo~ Lxne as ~u~ing the past
yea~ the~e were 45,400 barrels of fish shipped to New Yo~k ove~
this ~oute, also called to thexr attentxon the xnc~ease whxch ha~
takes plac· in the valuatxon of ou~ town ~uringthe past ten yea~s
and states to them that it was my belxef that this xnc~ease was to
a consxde~able extent attributable to the excellent serwce
by the New Englan~ Navigation Compaq.
