Members of the committee present were: John Brescher, Campbell Sutton, Kristie Ferrantella, Curtis Barnes, Rick Atherton, and Tucker Holland. Linda William arrived at 1:31pm. 1) Chair John Brescher called the meeting to order at 1:00pm with a quorum. 2) Agenda: Campbell moved approval of the agenda, seconded by Curtis. All voted in favor 3) Public Comment: None. 4) Approval of April 8, 2019; May 16; July 7; July 26; July 31 minutes. Rick and Kristie made edits to the minutes. Kristie noted April 8 minutes that were distributed were actual May 16th. Kristie will make edits and John will put online as DRAFT. Curtis moved to make edits and put online as draft, Tucker approved. All in favor. 5) Review of July 31, 2019 public meeting. John was thrilled that even though there was low turnout, we received great feedback. It was good to hear from Dan Drake about the airport budget issues. John would like to invite them to come to a future meeting. Campbell noted Dan spoke as a citizen and not as part of the airport. Kristie thinks the article in the I&M will drive more attendance at our next public meeting. John asked if we should invite Wannacome to a future meeting. Rick commented that Airport budget issues are more unique and wouldn’t mean having to invite Wannacomet. Tucker explained to those not in attendance how the last public forum went with our voting feedback boards. Curtis asked if we should be doing any other promotional materials. John stated that Linda is getting in touch with the neighborhood groups. Linda reminded us that Town Council still has not reviewed our Charter for technical changes. Tucker asked that John follow up with Lauren Goldberg. Campbell suggested we be sure we do not deliberate or spend too much time on each public comment since it’s not previously posted. We should be listening and taking in their concerns. Campbell also said we should talk more about each form of government and what we’ve reviewed so far over the past 2 years. We should go more in depth on the flyers we are handing out. We should explain how citizens can be heard in each form of government. 6) Other Business. None 7) Linda made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Kristie, all voted in favor. The meeting was adjourned at 1:48pm. Respectfully Submitted, Kristie Ferrantella, Recording Secretary
