In attendance were committee members Whitey Willauer, Peter Morrison, H. Flint Ranney, Chris Ma-gee, and John Stover. Absent were Barbara Gookin, Anne Kuszpa, and Mike Burns. Also in attendance were Consultants George Aronson and Robert Patterson, Gregg Tivnan, Town Manager Libby Gibson, Planning Director Andrew Vorce, Airport Manager Al Peterson, Water Company Manager Bob Gardner, Selectman Rick Atherton, and PR Coordinator Lauren Stewart.
The meeting was called to order by Acting Chairman Tivnan at 2:15PM for the purpose of discussig where we go in the matter of National Grid net metering.
An extensive discussion was held as to how to approach National Grid, since without their cooperation in net metering our project becomes less feasible.
It was finally agreed that a letter should be composed by Chris Magee and Gregg Tivnan to be sent from the Board of Selectmen to the president of National Grid asking that Nantucket be treated just as other communities are being treated, with up to 10,000 kWh in alternative energy and net metering.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:10PM.
