Draft Minutes of the Nantucket Energy Committee
February 4, 2010 at 4:30 PM Board of Selectmen Conference Room, Broad Street
Members Present – Anne Kuszpa -Vice Chairman, Carl Borchert, Mike Burns, Peter
Morrison, Whitey Willauer, Sandra Welsh, and the Board of Selectman Liaison-Brian

I. Call to Order .....The meeting was called to order by Anne Kuszpa, Vice Chairman
II. Establish a Quorum

IV. Public Comment on Any Non – Agenda Items
V. Discussion and Action
A. Discussion : Charlie Gifford and Jeff Willett discussed long range plans for the
Landfill
Action: Charlie will map areas for turbine locations; identify Landfill materials;
Provide State “ Sites “ assigned, check sizes of turbines permitted, and he suggested
we contact Dave Ellis. He will contact him also and give him a heads – up
B. Discussion : Normandeau’s avian study site visit 1-27-2010 ….. Anne Kuszpa
C. Discussion and Action :
The following were postponed until our next Energy Committee meeting
March 4, 2010

2. Chairman’s and committee member’s comments at BOS meeting 1-13- 10
3. Discussion : Solar and Wind potential for new Police Station….Carl
