Call to Order II. Establishment of Quorum III. Approval of the Minutes - Unanimously approved IV. Public Comment A. Comment-Karen Alence requested Energy Committee support for her and Tom Barnes’ Annual Town Meeting 2009 Citizen’s Articles regarding renewable energy. Their proposal will ask the town to vote to amend Article II of Chapter 124 , Section 125-6 in the town of Nantucket General code to include “ any solar collector-weather for solar photovoltaic (electricity) or solar thermal collectors (heat and hot water.) ” . B. Action – 1. Invite The Historic District Commission to the January Energy Committee meeting for their input and comments on the above proposed amendment 2. Request the Alence / Barnes proposal wording referencing The Energy Study Committee be changed. . . 3. Voted to Table further action at this time. V. Discussion /Action A. January Meeting of the Energy Committee meeting will be January 8, 2008 5:00 PM at Two Fairgrounds Road B. MTC grant application report by Anne Kuzspa. 1. Anne will fill in the Grant Application as requested 2. MTC requests an on-site evaluation relative to the Airport and the Madaket Waste Water Treatment Plant. C. Preliminary Results from The Worcester Polytechnic Students were presented. D. Updates on White Paper: Land Based Wind Energy. No Additions at this time. E. .Report on field trip to Esther’s Island renewable energy house and comments by Jennifer Shalley, the project Manager there. F. Report on Energy Consortium at Nantucket High School. On Dec.22, 2008 Page 2 Minutes of The Nantucket Energy Study Committee meeting Dec. 2008 continued : VI. Other Business A. Carl Borchert asked for clarification of his duties as the Archivist B. Mary Worth’s idea for an Energy brochure was tabled at this time. C. Asked Anne Miller Kuszpa if she wants to be addressed by her Maiden or Married name on our records. VI I.
