TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
I, Catherine Flanagan Stover, duly elected Clerk of the Town and County of Nantucket, hereby
certify that the April 3, 2018 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING adopted Article 22: “Appropriation:
Ferry Embarkation Fee ” at the April 3, 2018 adjourned session when “...the adoption of all
articles not heretofore acted upon as recommended by the Finance Committee, or as
recommended by the Planning Board, was duly motioned, seconded, and voted in accordance
with the motions recommended by the Finance Committee or, in the absence of a Finance
Committee motion, then in accordance with the motions as recommended by the Planning
Board, as printed in the Finance Committee Report, with technical amendments brought forward
during the course of the meeting…”
VOTE: The vote on the motion pursuant to Article 22 as moved by the Finance
Committee, was by Unanimous Voice Vote. The motion was adopted.

ARTICLE 22
(Appropriation: Ferry Embarkation Fee)
To see what sum the Town will vote to appropriate from the proceeds of the ferry
embarkation fee established by Chapter 46, section 129 of the Acts of 2003 as amended, for the
purposes of mitigating the impacts of ferry service on the Town and County of Nantucket,
including but not limited to provision of harbor services, public safety protection, emergency
services, infrastructure improvements within and around Nantucket Harbor, and professional
services pertaining to the potential use or reuse of land, buildings and infrastructure in the
vicinity of Nantucket Harbor, and any other purpose allowed by applicable law.
Or to take any other action related thereto.

FINANCE COMMITTEE MOTION : Moved that Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Three
Hundred Sixty-four Dollars ($270,364) be appropriated from the Ferry Embarkation Fee Fund
for the purpose of public safety protection, emergency services, and any other purpose
allowed by applicable law.
