After reading the one page explanation of the way our beaches are impacted by such projects, I am totally opposed to what is happening with the Sconset beaches. I have been opposed to this thing from the beginning, but the thought of this island having to import sand in the time of my grandchildren makes me incredulous at best and devastated to say the least. Please advise the town to do whatever is possible legally to stop this project and take another course. Years down the road, new people will demand that the town pay to maintain this way to trick Mother Nature, which as you and I both know, is not possible. I bought my property here in l992 and have been aware of what the sea can do over time. Please work hard to have this SBPF project stopped for the common good of all Nantucket residents.
