MEMBERS ABSENT: James Cooper. AGENDA Meeting called to order at 4:00 p.m. 1. Concerns from the public. None. 2. Minutes of May 24, 2011 approved unanimously. 3. Finback Subdivision – 2nd approval and signatures – A 15 lot subdivision originally approved approximately 1-1 ½ years ago. DEP required documents are included for BOH signature for approval of a shared septic system for the subdivision. BOH unanimously approves shared septic system and signs required documents. 4. Tight Tank Installation – 27 North Cambridge Street – this is a Nantucket Land Bank property installation of a “non seasonal” use tight tank. DEP will approve this request as this is a life estate property of an elderly woman (approximately 93 years old). Upon her death, the structure will be removed and no new dwelling will be constructed. BOH unanimously approves the tight tank request with Stephen Visco abstaining) (4-0). 5. Discussion Topics – Mosquito control update – Nantucket voted $100,000 for mosquito control this year. HO Ray has put together a rudimentary program with the help of State Reclamation Board and Cape Cod Mosquito Control. HO Ray suggests starting enabling legislation to create a Nantucket Mosquito Control Committee, and at present suggests working as a voluntary trust if we can get permission from the SRB. HO Ray suggests waiting to add tick control into the mosquito program until the program and its funding can grow. HO Ray presented the same update to the BOS last evening. Mandatory Sewer Connection priorities – BOH has a mandate regarding individuals living on property with a sewer connection abutting their property that mandates they connect to town sewer (original mandate in 2003). There had been a limited capacity at our sewer treatment plant but now suggests the BOH review the regulations and make modifications to establish priority areas for sewer connection. HO Ray suggests Monomoy and perhaps Sconset. It is suggested that Patty Roggeveen, Richard Ray, and Steve Visco serve on a workgroup to review regulations. It is also mentioned that fines would be $100.00 with each day constituting a separate offense. BOH MINUTES -2- JUNE 16, 2011 6. Concerns from the Board.
