BOARD OF SELECTMEN Minutes of the Meeting of November 10, 2010. The meeting took place in the Town Building Conference Room, 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were Rick Atherton, Brian Chadwick, Patricia Roggeveen, and Whiting Willauer. Michael Kopko was absent. Chairman Roggeveen called the meeting to order at 9:32 AM. 1. Discussion Regarding Climate Action Plan Implementation Process: Falmouth. Town Manager C. Elizabeth Gibson introduced Falmouth Energy Coordinator Paul Gentile. Mr. Atherton joined the meeting at 9:33 AM. Mr. Gentile briefly summarized the mission of the energy coordinator, he spoke on his previous experience and mentioned his is a 15 hours per week job. The energy coordinator responsibilities involve: monitoring of energy use and track programs and projects; working with National Grid to conduct energy audits at prioritized facilities; implementing policies and procedures with the Town; assisting in communicating conservation measures and programs; being responsible for the quarterly energy newsletter and the energy website; conducting energy awareness survey for employees; working closely with DOER (Department of Energy Resources); assisting in the implementation of efficiency renovations and researches; and making recommendations and communicating them to the public and the Board of Selectmen. The Board discussed on power saving. Mr. Kopko joined the meeting at 10:15 PM. Chairman Roggeveen left the meeting at 10:19 PM. Mr. Gentile kept reviewing the action plan responsibilities. Ms. Gibson asked Mr. Gentile what would be the cost of the implementation of the Climate Action Plan Committee. Mr. Gentile answered that it will be cost to none. There was some discussion among the Board members on adopting the Climate Action Plan and its implementation. The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 10:16 PM. Approved the 17th day of May, 2017.
