BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Minutes of the meeting of 28 May 2009 at 12:00 PM. The meeting took place in the Conference
Room, 2 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were Rick
Atherton, Brian Chadwick, Michael Kopko, Allen Reinhard, and Patty Roggeveen. Chairman Kopko
called the meeting to order at 12:05 PM in open session.
Mr. Reinhard moved to adjourn to executive session for the purpose of discussing real estate
disposition then to return to open session; Mr. Atherton seconded. So voted 4-0 by roll call vote.
Ms. Roggeveen had stepped out of the room.
The Board went back into open session at 12:59 PM, following a meeting in executive session.
Chairman Kopko explained that Mr. Reinhard has requested a discussion on the motion made at
last night’s meeting by Mr. Chadwick for a new chairman of the Board. Ms. Roggeveen said she
feels the discussion should be saved for a Wednesday night in front of the cameras. Mr. Reinhard
agreed, and said he would like to know the motivation behind the motion and possible implications
of a new vote.
The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 1:01 PM.
