Minutes of the Meeting of 11 March 2008 at 1:00 PM (continuation of Meeting of 10 March 2008 at
1:00 PM). The meeting took place in the 1st floor Conference Room, Town and County Building, 16
Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were Brian Chadwick, Patricia
Roggeveen, Whiting Willauer, Allen Reinhard and Michael Kopko. Chairman Willauer called the
meeting to order at 1:40 PM.
WORKSHOP
Discussion of Proposed State Legislation Regarding Sheriff. Discussion followed concerning a
hearing scheduled for March 12, 2008+ at the State House regarding the proposed takeover of
county sheriff departments in the Commonwealth, specifically the Board’s position that Nantucket
be exempted from the Bill. Discussion also focused on the State County Government Finance
Review Board meeting also scheduled for March 12, 2008 concerning a county budget request
which is to be attended by C. Elizabeth Gibson, Chairman Kopko and Mr. Chadwick.
The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 2:30 PM.
