Executive Session. Minutes of the Meeting of 2 June 2008. The meeting took place in the 1st floor
Conference Room, Town & County Building, 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of
the Board present were Brian Chadwick, Michael Kopko, Patricia Roggeveen, Rick Atherton and
Allen Reinhard. Also present were Town Manager C. Elizabeth Gibson and Assistant Town
Manager Malacky Rice. Chairman Kopko called the meeting to order at 10:05 AM, following a
meeting in open session.
Non-Union Contract Negotiations. Chairman Kopko reviewed the matter of engaging special
counsel with regard to the solid waste/Waste Options contract issues. Discussion focused on the
scope of services desired, the end result of engaging a special counsel and various potential firms.
It was unanimously generally agreed to seek advice from landfill consultant George Aronson and
further discuss this matter with Mr. Aronson at an executive session meeting on June 9, 2008.
The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 10:30 AM, by roll call vote.
