Minutes of the Meeting of 17 January 2008 at 9:30 AM. The meeting took place in the Town and
County Building, 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were Brian
Chadwick, Patricia Roggeveen, Whiting Willauer, Allen Reinhard and Michael Kopko. Chairman
Willauer called the meeting to order at 9:35 AM.
Review of 2008 Annual Town Meeting Warrant Articles. Town Clerk Catherine Stover was present
and requested a salary increase. Ms. Stover stated she does not believe her salary is in parity with
other department heads. Chairman Kopko expressed his concern with keeping within the
guidelines set forth in on-going union negotiations and other Board members concurred. After
some additional discussion, it was the general consensus to postpone action on this request until
January 23, 2008 when the warrant is scheduled to be adopted.
At 9:50 AM, Chairman Willauer polled the Board and Mr. Kopko, Mr. Chadwick, Ms. Roggeveen,
Mr. Reinhard and Chairman Willauer voted unanimously to adjourn to Executive Session, to return
to Open Session, for the purpose of discussing real estate disposition.
At 12:20 PM, the open session meeting reconvened and discussion continued regarding proposed
2008 annual town meeting zoning and real estate articles.
The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 1:45 PM.
