1. Public Informational Meetings to be Held on Fiscal Year 2010 (July 1, 2009 – June 30,
2010) Budget: Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 6:00 PM at Nantucket High School;
Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 8:30 AM at Nantucket High School (to be televised);
Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 8:30 am (Nantucket High School).
2. Town Clerk: State (Presidential) Election will be held from 7am – 8pm on Tuesday,
November 4, 2008 at Nantucket High School. Voter Registration Deadline is Wednesday,
October 15th at 8pm.
3. DPW: Sewer/Stormwater Drainage Projects Construction Update:
a. Stormwater Drainage Improvement Project (Phase I) Starting on October 15,
2008 on Orange Street at West Creek Road Intersection – Expect Traffic Delays
b. Stormwater Drainage Improvement Project Starting First Week of November at
Harborview Way/Childrens’ Beach/Easton Street Area – Expect Disruption
c. Sewer Rehabilitation Project (Phase 2A – Downtown Core Area) Preliminary
Work to be Done October – November – Expect Minimal Traffic Impact
d. Sewer Rehabilitation Project (Phase 2A – Downtown Core Area) Construction to
Begin After Christmas Stroll – Expect Traffic Delays/Disruption
