HomeMy WebLinkAboutBoard of Selectmen Minutes January 8, 2007_201402061500014997BOARD OF SELECTMEN Minutes of the Meeting of 8 January 2007 at 4:00 PM. A joint meeting with the Finance Committee took place in the Nantucket High School Cafeteria, 10 Surfside Road, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were Brian Chadwick, Michael Kopko and Whiting Willauer. Doug Bennett and Catherine Flanagan Stover were absent. Chairman Willauer called the meeting to order at 4:15 PM. Presentation of FY 2008 General Fund Budget. Town Administrator Libby Gibson introduced the presentation including the Board of Selectmen recommendations, noting that some items are necessarily subject to updates. She briefly gave a budget overview, reviewed supplemental requests and provided additional information regarding capital requests. Budget books were distributed to Finance Committee members present. Finance Committee Chairman Rick Atherton noted the next committee meeting date and adjourned the Finance Committee’s meeting at 5:20 PM. The Board commenced to review a draft letter to the Department of Environmental Protection regarding the Great Harbor Yacht Club Chapter 91 license application, continued from the 9:30 AM meeting of this day. Mr. Kopko moved to send the letter as amended. Chairman Willauer seconded. So voted unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 5:30 PM. Approved the 7th day of February 2007.
