Executive Session. Minutes of the Meeting of 8 January 2007 at 9:30 AM. The meeting took
place in the Conference Room of the Land Bank, 22 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554.
Members of the Board present were Brian Chadwick, Michael Kopko, and Whiting Willauer. Doug
Bennett and Catherine Flanagan Stover were absent. Also present were Town Administrator Libby
Gibson, Projects Administrator Diane O’Neil and Cable Television Advisory Committee Chairman
Gene Mahon as well as members Jennifer Erichsen and Christine Silverstein. Chairman Willauer
called the meeting to order at 11:02 AM.
Non-Union Contract Negotiations. Ms. Gibson provided background information on the Cable
Television License with Comcast, which expires in 2007. She advised that the Cable TV Advisory
Committee has been working on the renewal license for approximately 18 months. Mr. Mahon
gave an overview of proposed changes to the license, noting that Town Counsel review has
occurred. Discussion followed on possible rate changes as a result of some of the proposals.
The Board agreed to continue the matter to review the final draft contract on January 25, 2007.
The meeting adjourned at 11:35 AM.
