Minutes of the Meeting of 1 February 2007 at 9:30 AM. A joint meeting with the Town Government
Study Committee took place in the Conference Room of the Land Bank, 22 Broad Street,
Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board present were Brian Chadwick, Catherine Flanagan
Stover, Michael Kopko and Whiting Willauer. Doug Bennett was absent. Chairman Willauer called
the meeting to order at 9:30 AM.
Review of Town Government Study Committee Recommendations. TGSC Chairman Allen
Reinhard provided an introduction to the informational meeting, noting the committee’s nine
warrant articles for the 2007 Annual Town Meeting and a list of advisory recommendations to the
Board. He welcomed ideas and suggestions from the Board of Selectmen while reviewing the
thirty-three recommendations in sequence. Discussion followed. Chairman Reinhard advised that
the committee’s complete report will be provided via presentation to the Board on March 14th.
Chairman Reinhard briefly reviewed issues designated by the committee to receive further study
and the future role of the committee.
The Board thanked the committee for its work.
The meeting adjourned at 11:55 AM.
