Minutes of the Meeting of 4 April 2007 at 10:00 AM. The meeting took place in the Conference
Room, Town and County Building, 16 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Members of the Board
present were Brian Chadwick, Michael Kopko, Whiting Willauer and newly elected Selectmen Allen
Reinhard and Patty Roggeveen. Chairman Willauer called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM.
Board of Selectmen Organization. Town Clerk Catherine Flanagan Stover swore in the newly
elected Selectmen Allen Reinhard and Patty Roggeveen. Chairman Willauer reviewed the format
of the election of officers, suggesting the same process used for committee appointments to which
the Board consented. Mr. Chadwick and Mr. Willauer noted their willingness to serve as chairman.
Mr. Chadwick and Ms. Roggeveen voted for Mr. Chadwick. Mr. Willauer, Mr. Reinhard and Mr.
Kokpo voted for Mr. Willauer. So voted to elect Mr. Willauer Chairman.
Mr. Kopko and Ms. Roggeveen noted their willingness to serve as vice-chairman. Ms. Roggeveen
and Mr. Chadwick voted for Ms. Roggeveen. Mr. Reinhard, Mr. Kopko and Chairman Willauer
voted for Mr. Kopko. So voted to elect Mr. Kopko vice-chairman.
County Commission Organization. County Commission Chairman Chadwick called the County
Commission to order and noted it would follow the same procedure as the Board of Selectmen for
officer election. Mr. Kopko noted his willingness to serve as chairman. There being no other
persons indicating interest, the Board unanimously consented to elect Mr. Kopko chairman of the
County Commission.
Chairman Kopko requested vice chairman candidates and Ms. Roggeveen noted her willingness to
serve. There being no other persons indicating interest, Chairman Kopko requested that Ms.
Roggeveen be declared vice chairman, to which the Commission unanimously consented.
The meetings adjourned at 10:10 AM.
