Meeting Minutes for June, 2011
Meeting called to order by the chair on June 13, 2011 at 10:00 am EST.
Location: 2 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket MA
In Attendance: David Sharpe, Lisa Bouchard, John O’Connor, & David Larivee.
Absent: Angus Macvicar
Approval of Agenda: Agenda approved as written
Approval of minutes: Minutes from approved as written.
Topics:
1) Update on Committee openings.
A short discussion was had on how to move forward on a promotion to attract new committee
members. Nothing new was decided on other than continuing to promote through the Town
Managers report at Board of selectmen’s meetings.
2) Continue review of currant Taxi Regulations.
The committee continued their review of the Taxi regulations and finished with no proposed
changes. There were a number of questions for Lt. Macvicar but due to his absence they were
tabled to a later meeting.
Roundtable Discussion:
A) Committee Members:
Lisa Bouchard brought to the attention of the committee that the owner of the taxi’s name
and address is shown in plain view on the license posted in all of the vehicles. The
committee agreed to propose to town administration a change to the statement, “On file in
the Town Clerks Office”. Chairman Sharpe will convey our concerns to Town Manager.
