Meeting Minutes November, 2010
Meeting called to order by the chair on November 9, 2010 at 10:05 am EST.
Location: 2 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket MA
In Attendance: David Sharpe, David Larivee, John O’Connor, & Angus Macvicar.
Absent: Wendy Watts
Approval of Agenda: Agenda approved as written with no objections.
Approval of minutes: Minutes from approved as written. Minutes from October approved with one
change to Round table discussion section B to read “Beginning in January meetings will be held in the 4
Fairgrounds Public Safety Facility”.
Topics:
1) Zones:
After much discussion it was decided by a motion from Vice Chair O’Connor and a unanimous
vote that no changes be made to the existing zone map but instead be sure it stated clearly in
the regulations that fares are charged from the point of pick up to the point of drop off no
matter what or how many zones they pass through.

Roundtable Discussion:
A) Committee Members:
Chairman Sharpe stated that we need to draft a letter to the Traffic Safety Work Group in
order to be heard at one of their upcoming meetings.
Chairman Sharpe will have said letter available for the committee’s approval at the
December meeting.
A question was brought up during October public comment about what are the
requirements to put a name on the Taxi Owners License Waiting List.
Chairman Sharpe will request that information from town administration for discussion at
the December meeting.
Beginning in February, Meetings will be held at 4 Fairgrounds Public Safety complex meeting
rooms.
B) Public Comment:
None at this time.
Next Meeting: December 14, 2010 at 10:00am EST. at the 2 Fairgrounds conference room.
Adjourn: Meeting adjourned at 10:50am on a motion by John O’Connor with all in favor.
