Included in the warrant for the 2016 Special Town Meeting set for October
17 is the extension of sewering to Madaket and Warren’s Landing and in
Somerset.
We are persuaded that the need is urgent and that cost/benefit favors
sewering over septic upgrades to address the public health and
environmental issues faced in those areas.
Accordingly, without addressing the question when a vote should be taken,
we urge that the Town go forward with this sewering project quickly after
due deliberation and vote.
