Her focus includes the long-term forecasting of municipal revenues, operating expenses, capital projects and any related funding. Part of the budgeting and financial planning process, long-range forecasts can be reviewed regularly as developments occur and stress-tested to determine, for example, the impact of a potential acceleration or deceleration of the local economy. Ultimately, thoughtful forecasting improves the Town’s vision and decision-making abilities. Julia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from Queen’s University (Canada) before enjoying a career in Investment Banking where she performed extensive financial forecasting and analysis for corporations. More recently, Julia served on the Town’s Finance Committee. She lives on the island with her husband and two young children. Nantucket contributed to over $100,000,000 in purchases through state contracts that strengthens the Town’s purchasing power and economies of scale to purchase goods and services at lower rates statewide. Congratulations Heidi and Silvio!
