Meeting Minutes for February 15, 2012
Meeting called to order by the chairman at 10:00 am EST.
Location: Training Room – Public Safety Facility - 4 Fairgrounds Road, Nantucket MA
In Attendance: David Sharpe, Lisa Bouchard, John O’Connor, Sue Marques and Lynne Robinson
Absent: David Larivee, Angus MacVicar
Approval of minutes: Minutes approved as written on 5-0 vote.

Topics:
1) Review of draft of Annual Report about the state of the Taxi Industry on Nantucket
The Committee discussed and revised the Annual Report that Chairman Sharpe drafted. The
committee agreed to amend the wording for Rogue Cabs in the section of future concerns. Lisa
Bouchard asked if the committee could add wording that asks the Town to consider regulating
Charter Vehicles carrying more than 10 people up to 15 people. After a lengthy discussion
among committee members and the audience, it was added to the end of the Concerns section.
Chairman Sharpe noted that these changes will be made and finalized at the next meeting in
hopes of sending the report to Town Administration and the Board of Selectmen.
2) Impact of NRTA on downtown parking spaces
The committee tabled this discussion as no one had any comment.
3) New Business
No new business by the committee was discussed.
Audience member, Ken Turgeon reported that he has not heard from Town Counsel regarding
the letter that he had sent about the December 7, 2011 BOS vote removing taxi stands.
